The present paper aims to study the motivational-hygienic factors among physical education teachers on the basis of Herzberg’s theory. The study utilized a descriptive-analytical methodology with a field data-collection method. The statistical population included all physical education teachers of Kermanshah province. Using multiple cluster sampling method, 278 subjects were selected. The data-gathering instrument was the demographic questionnaire as well as the ‘Motivation-Hygiene’ questionnaire of Dennett et al (1996). Descriptive statistics as well as inferential statistics, including the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, independent sample t-test and the Kendall Correlation Coefficient were used to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a significant difference between male and female in terms of hygienic factors (p<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in motivational factors between male and female physical education teachers (p>0.05). Moreover, there was a significant positive relationship between hygienic factors, on one hand, and gender(r=0.447) and marital status(r=0.409), on the other. Meanwhile, no significant correlation was observed between motivational factors and demographic characteristics of the subjects (p>0.05).
