The present study aims to investigate the role of Socially Responsible Human Resource Management (SRHRM) in achieving the sustainable development goals of sports organizations in Markazi province. In terms of objective, this research was an applied study, and in terms of data collection, it was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of the study includes all employees of sports organizations in Markazi province (Sports and Youth Department, Municipalities, and Sports Boards), from which a sample of 209 individuals was selected using the convenience sampling method. Data were collected using three questionnaires: Socially Responsible Human Resource Management, Person-Organization Fit (P-O Fit), and Sustainable Development. The face and content validity of the questionnaires were confirmed through expert opinions, and their reliability was verified using Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (including Structural Equation Modeling) in SPSS and PLS software. The results indicated that Socially Responsible Human Resource Management has a significant effect on Sustainable Development (β= 0/328, t= 4/769, P= 0/001). Furthermore, Person-Organization Fit showed a significant effect on Sustainable Development (β= 0/166, t= 2/227, P=0/026). Finally, Person-Organization Fit demonstrated a significant moderating role in the relationship between Socially Responsible Human Resource Management and Sustainable Development (β= 0/20, t=3/579, P=0/001). Therefore, sports organizations, by utilizing HR management with a social responsibility approach towards internal stakeholders, can motivate and encourage employees, considering Person-Organization Fit, to achieve sustainable development goals. Consequently, the findings of this research can be helpful for the management and planning of human resources, from recruitment to compensation, in line with achieving sustainable development objectives.
