Abstract
The purpose of this study was to design a model for the development of hybrid capabilities in the Iranian Equestrian Federation, with an emphasis on strategic agility. The strategy employed in this research is grounded theory. The present study was conducted using a mixed-methods approach (qualitative-quantitative). In the qualitative phase, the statistical population included members of the physical education faculty, individuals with managerial experience, veterans, equestrian club managers, and stakeholders of the Iranian Equestrian Federation. A sample of 12 individuals was selected to reach theoretical saturation. In the quantitative phase, the statistical population consisted of all employees and experts of the Equestrian Federation and provincial equestrian boards across Iran. A stratified random sample of 384 individuals was selected. In the qualitative phase, the primary data collection tool was semi-structured interviews. MAXQDA software was used to facilitate data organization and code analysis. For content and face validity of the questionnaire, feedback from 10 sports management experts was obtained, and necessary revisions were made. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 25 and PLS version 3. The results identified 5 overarching themes for the hybrid capabilities of the Iranian Equestrian Federation: strategic efficiency, communication system efficiency, training mechanisms, organizational agility, and individual agility. Based on theoretical foundations, research background, and expert opinions, the final research model was designed, and all paths were found to be significant. The model fit indices also indicated a good fit. The findings of the structural equation modeling revealed that training mechanisms and efficiency have the greatest impact on hybrid capabilities. Given these results, it is recommended that the Federation enhance agility training, utilize advanced technologies, and foster a culture of collaborative learning to improve performance and adapt to environmental challenges. These measures not only increase the Federation's productivity and flexibility but also enhance its success in competitive and dynamic environments.
