Aims and Scope

Goals and Vision

Sustainable development of sports is a concept in which sustainability is a common and central issue in sports development. In a way that encompasses long-term changes in individual, community, and organizational attitudes through participation in sports. It considers sustainable development of sports in all dimensions (economic, social, environmental). Goals such as social justice, community development, social security, equal performance, improved health, social cohesion, social control, empowerment and success in sports, career development, personal development, rehabilitation, ethical performance, and teamwork are considered. Therefore, given the lack of a journal focused on sustainable development in the field of sports management, this quarterly will be a specialized journal to present critical perspectives and exploratory research in the field of sports development management.

The main goal of the journal Sustainable Development Management in Sports is to expand the ontology, epistemology, and scientific methodology of sports development among society, the academic community, policymakers, planners, and sports managers, and to provide an intellectual environment for national and international researchers to discuss their latest findings related to sports development management. Therefore, it is hoped that this journal will improve the status of this field in Iran and the world and provide solutions to the theoretical and practical issues facing this field. To achieve this goal, we encourage researchers to submit their authoritative and unpublished articles for publication in this journal.

One of the main topics in the field of sustainable development in sports is the study of the economic, social, cultural, political, and environmental impacts of sports, which this journal covers.

This journal intends to support interdisciplinary research that has used new methods in the articles.

Finally, given the tremendous impact of sports development in the world, the journal will pay special attention to research with a future approach to sustainable development in sports.
