The popularity of electronic sports is increasing day by day, and its development has become an important issue for many countries. The development of electronic sports requires a suitable platform for development, however, no specific solution has been presented for the development of electronic sports in Iran. Investigating and identifying the development of electronic sports in Iran can contribute significantly to the progress of this field. Therefore, the purpose of the present study was to identify strategies for developing electronic sports in Iran. The present research method is qualitative and exploratory research, and in terms of its purpose, it is considered an applied research. The participants in this study included experts and experienced individuals in the field of electronic sports, electronic sports players, managers of electronic sports clubs, and electronic sports coaches, and the purposive sampling method was used in the study. To collect data, in-depth and semi-structured interviews were conducted with the participants, and theoretical saturation was achieved with 17 interviews. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the data to obtain information for this study. The results of the study show that the strategies for the development of e-sports in Iran consist of six main categories, including professional club ownership, economic facilities, management and organization, championship sports system, education and information, and promotion of e-sports. Finally, considering the strategies for the development of e-sports in Iran, it is necessary to create the necessary measures to create a suitable development platform.
